The senior police head constable was found dead

Sankhuwasabha / Senior Police Head Constable Dik Bahadur Tamang has been found dead in the district prison of Khandbari. Originally from Ilam and residing in Ward No. 7 of Khandbari Municipality, Senior Police Head Constable Tamang had finished his duty and gone to sleep at 2 am on Sunday night.

Tamang was found unconscious at 5 am on Monday morning and was taken to the district hospital for treatment, as informed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganesh Shrestha. The district hospital had informed about Tamang's admission before his demise. Tamang's family has requested for an impartial investigation into his death, suspecting foul play in the incident.

As long as an unbiased investigation is not conducted, the family refuses to accept the body. Further investigations are ongoing, as informed by the police.
